Our raw materials are extracted in a small village called Chana in the Northern Region of Ghana. Run by our BODA women. The materials are then sent over to our BODA team in Accra, Ghana and our BODA team in London, England to then be hand packaged into the tubs of goodness you see today.

  • What is the Shelf life of BODA products?

Our black exfoliating body scrub is specifically formulated for body only. Although we do have clients who use this on their face, due to the texture – we would not advise.

  • Can Boda be used on Babies?

Absolutely! BODA is for everyone. Our butter range specifically is unscented, natural and are currently used on babies. We have glowing reviews from Mothers too!

  • Can i apply Boda butter oil on my face, hair and body?

All BODA butters and oils have the ability to be on either your face, body and hair. However, we would advise not to use one tub for your hair and face/ body. This is because your hair has natural oils that may be dirty and could transfer to your face. Buy one butter for your hair and one for your face and body to avoid this!

  • CAN I USE BODA BLACK SOAP TO WASH MY FACE AND HAIR?

    Yes!
Our black soap can be used on your face, body and your hair too! Our soap is 100% organic and serves as a sulphate free shampoo. However, we do plan on having a haircare range incorporating black soap but also our buttery Shea to replace lost moisture.

  • DOES BLACK SOAP DRY OUT YOUR SKIN?

Harsh black soap does have the ability to dry out your skin. However our BODA black soap includes natural BODA oils to lessen this stripping feeling. We also have a honey range that was formulated specifically for dry and sensitive skin.

  • DOES SHEA BUTTER DARKEN YOUR SKIN?

Shea butter does not directly darken your skin. However, if you are exposed to the sun your skin will darken. We’d recommend use an SPF with a minimum of SPF30.

  • DOES SHEA BUTTER CLOG PORES?

The short answer? Yes. Shea butter is an oil and therefore has the ability to clog pores as after all – everyone’s skin is different. However, BODA butters have been specifically formulated to have anti-inflammatory properties and has shown beneficial for skin confusions such as: eczema and psoriasis.
